The rise in the use of single-use biopharma manufacturing has shown itself to be less environmentally impactful than traditional stainless steel systems. There are a number of life cycle assessments (LCA) that show a marked decrease in energy and water when switching to these systems. However, this change leads to an increase of plastic waste that is a challenge for current recycling infrastructures. This webinar will discuss the environmental impacts of single-use manufacturing and how to approach recycling of the plastic waste it creates.
