Avoiding Aquafailure: free webinar, May 22

A useful learning and networking opportunity for anyone interested in water: The Avoiding Aquafailure free webinar on May 22.

Planet Tracker would like to invite you to an online presentation of our latest report: ‘Avoiding Aquafailure’.

The report argues that aquaculture, often touted as the solution to overfishing is vulnerable to biodiversity risks and coastal conflicts, and demonstrates how this results in a cap in future growth.

Without a transformation, aquaculture will therefore fail to provide enough seafood to the world by 2050. To avoid this, diversification towards regenerative aquaculture (mostly bivalves and seaweed) is crucial, and will benefit ecosystems.

However, most aquaculture companies cannot afford this sustainable transition on their own: investors and lenders therefore need to support them. Francois Mosnier and Fuyao Wang will explain how and why.
