In this ASBN Live webinar, members of Businesses for Conservation and Climate Action will interrogate this question from an ecological perspective as well as an economic one. The values of capitalism – including scale and efficiency – can drive successful conservation outcomes. But these values can often be misaligned with smaller-scale, community-led projects that are rooted in direct experience with land, water, and animals – and often under-resourced. We’ll examine these questions through a debate format and discuss the tensions and opportunities for business and conservation to collaborate effectively together.
