A useful learning and networking opportunity for anyone interested in ESG: The IFRS S1: General Requirements for Sustainability-related Disclosures – An In-Depth Explainer with the ISSB free webinar on July 12.

Sue Lloyd, Vice-Chair of the International Sustainability Standards Board, and Bryan Esterly, ISSB Acting Executive Technical Director, will share a detailed overview of IFRS S1: General Requirements for Disclosure of Sustainability-related Financial Information.

IFRS S1 sets out the general requirements for a company to disclose information about its sustainability-related risks and opportunities that is useful to investors in making decisions relating to providing resources to the company. To make sure it is connected and can be considered alongside financial statements, the information is disclosed in general purpose financial reports.

Sue Lloyd and Bryan Esterly will talk through the key concepts from the Standard and will provide insights into how the ISSB is working with jurisdictions and companies to support implementation and adoption.

IFRS S1 is one of the inaugural Standards published by the ISSB providing a truly global baseline of sustainability-related financial disclosures focused on the needs of investors and the financial markets.
