A New Standard for Sustainability: ISSB, ESG & Value Creation: free webinar, August 2

A useful learning and networking opportunity for anyone interested in ESG: The A New Standard for Sustainability: ISSB, ESG & Value Creation free webinar on August 2.

The global demand for businesses to address Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) issues is growing—from investors, customers, employees—and beyond. On June 23, 2023 the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) issued its inaugural standards—IFRS S1 and IFRS S2—ushering in a new era of sustainability-related disclosures in capital markets worldwide. Earlier this year, the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) entered into force in the EU. The CSRD will considerably increase both the number of companies that are within the scope of the EU’s ESG reporting regime and the detail and extent of the ESG disclosures that must be published. Other countries and regions, including the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, are expected to follow.

This requires leaders and professionals of the new era to be equipped with skills and capabilities to connect the most important, or ‘material,’ ESG issues with a return on investment for the company and sustainable impact across the triple bottom line—and report them appropriately.

WholeWorks’ Chief Sustainability Officer Laura Asiala will provide an overview on new and emerging standards in global sustainability reporting and disclosure, and how to integrate the issues they uncover to create (or protect) business value.
