Soil Health Policy and Programs in Colorado: free webinar, June 14

Soil Health

A useful learning and networking opportunity for anyone interested in regenerative agriculture: the Soil Health Policy and Programs in Colorado free webinar on June 14.

The Regenerative Recovery Coalition’s (RRC) Food Systems & Regenerative Agriculture Working Group is pleased to invite you to our June 14th meeting, where we will share about our regenerative agriculture projects and partnerships, and will feature a presentation from Max Neumeyer to share about Colorado’s soil health initiatives and the work that lies ahead.

Max Neumeyer is a principal at Ground Up Consulting. Max will speak about his experience coordinating the Colorado Collaborative for Healthy Soils and the Colorado Coalition to Enhance Working Lands (CO CEWL). Together, these groups successfully pushed for the passage of HB-1181 and SB-235, which together launched the Colorado Soil Health Program, also known as the Colorado Saving Tomorrow’s Agricultural Resources (STAR) Program.

Max will talk about his path into this work, lessons learned from organizing a bottom-up stakeholder process, and what lies ahead for the STAR program in Colorado and elsewhere in the Rocky Mountain West.
