Nature-Based Infrastructure: free online course, 19 September to 20 October

A useful learning and networking opportunity for anyone interested in NBI: the Nature-Based Infrastructure free online course from 19 September to 20 October.

The Nature-Based Infrastructure (NBI) Global Resource Center is offering a new course: nature-based infrastructure for climate adaptation and sustainable development.

The course aims to empower policy-makers, infrastructure planners and investors to understand the economic and financial performance of NBI as well as their co-benefits, in comparison with “built” or “grey”  infrastructure.

The course consists of five thematic modules, namely:

Introduction to nature-based infrastructure

Infrastructure planning and NBI

Systems thinking and system dynamics models for NBI

Climate data and spatial modelling for NBI

Financing NBI

This course will also illustrate how to make a case for investing in and maintaining NBI. With this knowledge, it is expected that policy-makers, infrastructure planners, and investors will be better equipped to make informed decisions about infrastructure investments and climate adaptation.

The 5-week live program – free of charge – will take place from 19 September to 20 October 2022, with sessions at 9 a.m. EST on Mondays and Thursdays.
