UK’s Net Zero Review: Carbon Markets and Corporate Climate Action: free webinar, February 27

A useful learning and networking opportunity for anyone interested in ESG: The UK’s Net Zero Review: Carbon Markets and Corporate Climate Action free webinar on February 27.

The independent UK Net Zero Review, led by The Rt Hon Chris Skidmore, MP, was released in January 2023. This review included a close look at the rapidly growing and evolving voluntary carbon markets (VCM) and made some recommendations to the UK government to set standards that will help businesses make smarter investment decisions that lead to credible emissions reductions. On 27th February, we will bring together Skidmore, MP and representatives from the Voluntary Carbon Markets Integrity Initiative (VCMI) and KPMG to discuss the current state of play of carbon markets and corporate climate action, particularly in the UK. We will do a deeper dive on the Net Zero Review, look at the key recommendations for improving integrity and transparency in carbon markets, and hear directly from voluntary standards setters and corporate leaders on selecting credible climate action projects to invest in today.

In this webinar, you’ll learn:

  • State of play in the VCM from a UK perspective
  • Key VCM-related highlights from the UK Net Zero review
  • Best practices for corporate carbon credit use and net zero claims.
